In 4th Grade Spanish this year we will be working to master these aspects of the Spanish language:
- greetings and introductions
- numbers 0 - 101
- colors
- everyday foods
- everyday clothing
- classroom objects
- family and relatives
- the alphabet
- parts of the body
- days of the week
- months and seasons of the year
- around the house
- commands
- possessive adjectives (my, your, our, etc.)
- eating utensils and table settings
- national holidays
- weather
- giving and taking directions
- everyday idiomatic expressions
We will also spend time learning about how holidays are observed in the Spanish-speaking world, for instance, Día de los muertos in Mexico, Reyes magos in Spain, and Easter.
In addition, students will learn to make the Sign of the Cross and pray "Grace Before Meals," "Grace After Meals," the "Our Father," "Hail, Mary," and other prayers in Spanish.
