In 3rd Grade Spanish this year we will be working to master these aspects of the Spanish language:
- greetings
- numbers 0 to 59
- colors
- everyday foods
- everyday clothes
- classroom objects
- family and relatives
- animals
- alphabet
- parts of the body
- personal pronouns: tú and usted
- days of the week and months of the year
- around the house
- common adjectives and masculine / feminine forms
- commands
- regular verbs
- expressing feelings
Students will also be introduced to how holidays are observed in the Spanish-speaking world, for instance, Día de los muertos in Mexico, Reyes magos in Spain, and Easter.
In addition, students will learn to make the Sign of the Cross and pray "Grace Before Meals," "Grace After Meals," and the "Our Father" in Spanish.
