Caitlin joined the St. Nicholas community in 2006 as the 4th grade teacher.  After she graduated in 2004 from the University of Portland with her BA in Education, Caitlin decided to go to graduate school.  She was accepted into the Pacific Alliance for Catholic Education masters program through the University of Portland and spent 2 ½ years taking class and teaching 4th grade at a Catholic school in Draper, Utah.  In August 2006, Caitlin received her Master of Education and Reading Endorsement.  Caitlin was born and raised in Olympia and attended Bellarmine Preparatory School in Tacoma.

Caitlin enjoys large and small group discussions and providing student centered learning.  She feels that organization and responsibility are two very important skills for 4th graders to learn.  These two skills are brought into all subjects and lessons taught.  Her faith is and important part of the lessons provided in class and enjoys the new learning that comes from inquisitive minds.

Mrs. Brinkman has recently comptleted her Washington State Profesional Certification Program, as well as her Catechist Certification program through the Archdiocese of Seattle.

Caitlin lives in Lacey with her husband Adam.  Both enjoy spending time with family and friends, outdoor activities, reading and cooking!
