Dan Clouse grew up speaking Spanish in Laredo, Texas; a small town on the Texas-Mexican border. After studying abroad in Spain and Costa Rica, he graduated with a B.A. in Spanish Literature from Dartmouth College in 1971. He continued studies in Spanish Language and Literature at the University of Texas at Austin and received his M.A. in 1975.
In 1977 he worked for a year on a research project at the Biblioteca Nacional in Madrid. His Spanish teaching experience includes years at the University of Texas, the University of Puget Sound, Olympic College, the Univeristy of Washington, Annie Wright School and St. Charles Borromeo in Tacoma, as well as two years at St. Nicholas.
Dan and his wife Adele recently celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary and they are proud parents of three adult children.
